Gravity Enduro racing is a great day out riding bikes. It’s all the aspects of most peoples rides. Riding to some great trails with your mates or meeting new friends to ride with & cruising & chatting & eating sour snakes on the uphills. But this is still no slack pack easy going, hows the weather kinda ride because once your at the top it’s all business! Bets have been won & lost, friendships made & broken as you then begin 1 of 3 timed downhill orientated stages. And then you do it again & again, giving you 3 timed downhill stages. These are added together to give you a total time which determines you overall placing. But remember, winning’s winning & having fun is easier & more socially accepted.


Membership Requirements: To register and participate in this event, riders must hold a valid MTBA Membership at the time of registering.  Please note: Membership must be valid on the date of the event for which you are registering. If your membership expires before the date of the event, you must renew your membership before entering this event. MTBA Recreation Members may upgrade to a Race Membership at anytime through the MTBA Online Services System or opt to purchase a discounted Race Day Licence Upgrade.

Junior riders must be 13 or over from the 30/9/2019

If your little shredder is under the age of 13 then we need to have a chat and make sure they are up for the challenge. Please contact the event organiser, if your child had entered Round 1, then you are free to enter them in Rounds 2 and 3 as long as you have discussed their participation with the event organiser.

Age categories are based on your age at the final round of the series (30/9/2019). This is to prevent age category changes during the series


Riders need to be self sufficient with food, water, spares, etc when out riding.

At the event village we will provide a few snacks at the end of each stage. These include water, nuts, fruit and sweets (you will need to bring your own snacks if you have specific dietary requirements.

In terms of spares, we suggest 1-2 spare tubes, a chain link, spare derailleur hanger, pump, and anything else you are likely to break…

If you look unprepared for the day you will be removed from the race.

Mandatory Safety Requirements:

For downhill race stages – Full faced helmet meeting AS2063 or equivalent standard or Helmets meeting AS2063 (only) with detachable mouthpieces will be permitted  & kneepads.

Under 17 – For all Gravity events, full-finger gloves must be worn. Knee and elbow pads made of a rigid material must be worn.

All equipment must be worn correctly and as intended by design.

From the start riders will progress to the start of the timed stage and only commence on the starters signal. If the starter has not arrived at the next stage, riders must wait for the starter in order for a time to be recorded.

Stage 1 Timed 10:00 to 11:00 am

Stage 2 Timed 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Stage 3 Timed 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm


The event organiser reserves the right to change or cancel the event, this can be due to extreme weather events or circumstances outside of the control of the event organiser. If an event is cancelled, rescheduling will occur where possible. Entry transfer is at no cost, refunds due to cancellation will be entry fee less a $5 administrative fee.



Stage Notes

Liaison 1 – Event Village up Belbins tower fire trail, Back of the Ridge trail, The Tedious Bit and along Belbins Ridgeline fire trail to Simmons Hill Summit.

Stage 1 Timed – Birthday Loop Descent to Leave the Birthday Early and finish on Ridgeline Fire Trail.

Liaison 2 – Ridgeline Fire Trail to Stringy Bark Gully Trail head.

Stage 2 Timed – Stringy Bark trail linking to Death Log, Stringy Bark Gully Fire Trail onto Fun Time to finish in event village.

Liaison 3 – Event Village up Quarry climb trail to Clark Kent, Belbins Tower Trail onto The Tedious Bit.

Stage 3 Timed – Wedge Rock trail onto Fun Time trail and finish in event village.

Getting There

Event Location:

Belbins Rd – Meehan range

Car park at the Race Village

  • Parking is limited in the Meehan Range Belbins car park (race village) and it is recommended that riders park at Clarence Car Park and ride over to Belbins to reduce parking congestion at Belbins road.
  • We will have a marshal at public road entrance gate to Belbins car park (village) for safety, and to prevent unauthorised access.
  • No parking is permitted along Belbins Road (this must be kept clear for local traffic and to enable access to the event village for emergency vehicles).
