Last evening race for the series with Prize giving after, spot prizes from Cyclingo bike shop & Loose Riders clothing. Food provided from Jessie & James doing Jaffles & music.

Round 4 Tolosa MTB Park, Glenorchy. Top of National DH track to first fireroad crossing. Instead of crossing fireroad turner left down fireroad to Fiveways juntion. Turn right onto lower part of North South track into lower park (final track out of forest into open to finish yet to be decided). This has Black Diamond features, Especially the top of DH track. please view & practice tracks.
Number plates collected at the top of DH track. So feel free to ride down the North South track from the springs to Tolosa park. Go up Kangaroo firetrail before going down the last part of North South & this will take you to the top of DH track.

This is how its guna go down….

1 stage! 1 chance! 1 hell of a good time. Will you be a 1 stage wonder or take out the entire series?

1 timed stage per round (4 rounds), 1 run top to bottom, don’t crack under pressure.

Stage open from 6.3-7.3pm. You have this 1 hour window to make YOU OWN WAY to the start, Race down the stage when ever you are ready. Course will be let known so please check it out & how you will get up there & how long ect as we will not mark the up track.

Race numbers will be collected at the START of stage, National DH track. so you can either ride down the North South track to start or up the firetrail to start from Tolosa MTB park carpark. Pick up plates from 6.20pm

St Johns Ambulance will be around or equivalent. Food may differ from event to event at extra charge, see our Facebook page before event.

 

 

 

 

 

Safety Requirements

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

As per the MTBA Mountain Bike Technical Regulations: Club-Level Events (2011);

Riders need to be self sufficient with food, water, spares, etc when out riding.
We will have a event village banging tunes. With possible food options to be revealed closer to time via facebook 

In terms of spares, we suggest 1-2 spare tubes, a chain link, spare derailleur hanger, pump, and anything else you are likely to break…

If you look unprepared for the day you will be removed from the race.
Downhill race stages – Full faced helmet meeting AS2063 or equivalent standard or Helmets meeting AS2063 (only) with detachable mouthpieces will be permitted  & kneepads

A full-face helmet must be worn correctly both when racing and when training on the course.

In Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 competitions, the following equipment is mandatory at all

times while on track:

  1. Full-finger gloves must be worn.
  2. Full length jersey – jersey must cover elbows at all times.
  3. Knee pads and elbow pads must be worn.

Bicycle Requirements

BICYCLE REQUIREMENTS

As per the MTBA Mountain Bike Technical Regulations: Club-Level Events (2011);

All bikes must be presented upon registration and riders will not be given a start plate until their bike fulfils the requirements as stated
below;
– all bikes must have two working brakes, one front and one rear;
– all bikes must be fitted with handlebar plugs;
– all bikes must have a maximum wheel diameter size of 29 inches;
– all bikes are subject to random inspection throughout the course of an event and those bikes not meeting the above requirements will be forfeited from immediate event participation and not allowed back into the event until deemed satisfactory by an event official.

Ride up to stage yo start when ever you can as long as you start your race run between 6.30-7.30pm

Collect & fit your number plates from 6.20pm. Collect from top of DH track)

Note: Jaffle’s (toasted sandwhiches) will be available to purchase (subject to availability).

cancellation policy

Event changes including venue, date and/or time of events at the organisers discretion.

An event may be cancelled due to extreme weather and/or fire danger; a refund will be provided where possible and the event rescheduled if practical.

If you enter & cannot make it we will pass entry on to next race (traffic, working late, saving your homework from the dog ect). Contact Nik if this applies to you from last race.

Cost and entry

If you entered the event we had to reschedule on 1 Feb we have carried over your entry and you don’t need to enter again.

If you didn’t enter that and would like to enter this race then:
