Developing & improving mountain bike trails in the lower foothills of kunanyi/Mt Wellington

This event is run by City of Hobart Council and we encourage members and riders of the local MTB community to consider being part of this and future initiatives.

Participating in these events is not only a way to give back to the rider community in general. It is an an opportunity to learn and gain skills in how to build and maintain MTB trails. All this with the satisfaction of knowing you have made a contribution to improve the rider experience.

How to Get Involved

At all Trackcare events new volunteers are welcome, and if you can’t commit to the whole five hours – 10 am – 3 pm, you can volunteer for an hour or more during this time. You just need to sign in when you arrive and sign out when leaving!

Unnamed Connector Track

On Sunday February 16 we’ll be building a brand new mountain bike track linking Bracken Lane and Rivulet Fire Trails.

Bring: strong sturdy boots, warm waterproof clothing, hat, drink bottle and your lunch. Gloves, tools and tea/coffee and biscuits supplied!

If you need to call us on the day phone 0458 345 127.

This intermediate grade track will be dual-direction and bikes-only. Winding through stringybark woodland, the track will have numerous B-line features, allowing riders to switch up their runs, safely pass each other, and progress their skills.

Please let us know if you are coming as we need to plan for adequate staff numbers, tools and equipment. As the Missing Link project continues, we’ll be benching in the new track, and building B-lines with rock gardens, roll downs, drops, rollers and more.
